Hi! I'm Ainiah, a 3rd year student, and this year's NeuroSoc President! My interests in neuroscience research centre around systems and computational neuroscience, including multisensory integration and anything relating to consciousness. In my spare time, I love to read, catch the latest movie, explore museums and galleries, and no matter where you see me, I'll always be listening to music! Kaja Posnik - Vice-President

Hello everyone! My name’s Kaja and I’m a second year neuroscience student! This year I will be the Vice-President of NeuroSoc and I am really excited to share some great events with you. I am most interested in mental disorders, the connection between the brain and the performing arts and recently neurotechnology. Outside of neuroscience I love musical theatre, travels to some amazing but also quite undiscovered places, and learning languages. Looking forward to seeing you at our events!

Shruti Shinde - Treasurer

Hellloo guys! I'm Shruti, a fourth-year MSci Neuroscience student and the treasurer this year for Neurosoc. Anyone who knows me would tell you how much I enjoy learning about psychedelics and the latest research on the area. I'm an enormous chicken wing enthusiast, and one of my favourite hobbies includes finding new ways to create dents in my bank account. I'm so excited to meet you all and have meaningful discussions on the latest neuroscience research :)

Qu Ukai - Academic Events Officer

Hello, my name is Qu (pronounced like the letter Q) and I’ll be one of the Academic Events Officers for NeuroSoc this academic year. I’m a second year neuroscience student, like my many other peers, and I have a particular interest in schizophrenia, and any other neurological disorders. I hope to be making my way into postgraduate medical school, or a masters in Fine Art. I love to draw, collect jars, notebooks and unique antique stationery. I also force myself to swim sometimes. I’ll be thinking of lots of cool neuroscience events with my fellow AEOs; please look forward to them!

Hi everyone! I’m Laura, a 2nd year BSc Neuroscience student and one of your Academic Events Officer this year. My current interests are systems and cognitive neuroscience; but anything related to music, sleep, circadian rhythms and language fascinates me. Adrienne Chen - Academic Events Officer

Hi, I'm Adrienne, I’ll be one of the Academic Event Officers this year, and I'm in my sophomore year studying neuroscience. I'm curious about how consciousness arises and the mechanism of emotions, so anything that answers these two questions would intrigue me! I’m also exploring computer science in order to prepare for getting into AI-related industry in the future, so I’m also interested in silicon-based brains;)  I’m a huge sci-fi nerd and I worship Issac Asimov. My top three art genres are german expressionism, dadaism, and art nouveau. Feel free to reach out if you have any event ideas and I can turn it into reality!

Nice to meet you all, I’m Miriam! I’m a second-year neuroscientist planning to head into neuro- /biotech and your Social Secretary for this year. I’m already hard at work planning our first event of the year with many more socials to come! I love jazz, mountains and forests, making stuff (catch me at the Institute of Making), botanical drawing, and drinking fancy tea out of fancy teacups. Hi! I'm Lanny, a second year neuroscience student, and this year's social media manager. My interest in neuroscience is mostly concentrated on computational neuroscience and any neurotechnology.
